Black Hawk County Gaming Association is pleased to announce their return to accepting funding requests beginning September 1, 2020. The online grant management system is open for Letter of Intent submissions September 1 - October 1, 2020 for Black Hawk County projects.

We award grants that help grow our community

Revenue for the Black Hawk County Gaming Association comes from the contracted fees received from the Isle Casino Hotel Waterloo. Black Hawk County Gaming Association is the non-profit corporation responsible for distributing those funds. During FY21 grant awards are limited to Black Hawk County proposals.

An Outside County funding calendar for Butler, Bremer, Buchanan, Chickasaw, Grundy and Tama will be discussed and considered next spring for FY22 applications. (July 1, 2021 - June 30,2022).

Black Hawk County Gaming serves the Cedar Valley

Black Hawk County Gaming Association holds and maintains a license to conduct gambling games in accordance with the Iowa Excursion Boat Gambling Act. We hold this license on behalf of the Isle Casino Hotel Waterloo. Projects from Black Hawk County are considered in the Spring and Fall.

  • Enhance public facilities
  • Create new opportunities where none existed before
  • Create, replace or upgrade substantial capital items.
